ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE AND GOVERNANCE PLANNING

ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE AND GOVERNANCE

The proper functioning of the university system requires the standardisation of the formats of the educational offer; it should also be foreseen that the suitability of the implementation should include a diagnosis of: i) the economic evaluation of the necessary and available resources (appropriate faculty, possible recruitment needs, etc.); ii) the evaluation of the teaching infrastructure centres (adequacy of the classrooms, audiovisual support, existence or provision of laboratories, etc.); iii) the impact of the programme on the quality of the provided education; iv) the development of the programme’s content and its impact on the quality of the teaching. (i) economic evaluation of the necessary and available resources (appropriate faculty, possible recruitment needs, etc.); (ii) evaluation of the teaching infrastructure centres (adequacy of classrooms, audiovisual support, existence or provision of laboratories, etc.); (iii) repercussion of the programme on professional needs (adaptation to a catalogue of occupations, education of technicians to the needs of the market, response to national strategies of economic expansion, etc.)
On the other hand, once the study plan has been implemented, the university must periodically control the adequate development of the study plans: quality of graduates, employability achieved through the programme, etc.

The organisational structure for the control of the programmes lies in the Academic Committee of the degree, which has as its objective the distribution of subjects in the different fields of knowledge. All the academic proposals of the Committee are supervised by the Board of the Centre, which has delegated the authorities related to infrastructure (classrooms spaces and laboratories for the development of qualifications) and teachers (supervising the proposed distribution of teachers by the assigned academic departments to this centre).

Hierarchical academic body attached to the Board of Directors of the University, the proposed program by the centres is a commission for the teaching staff, which made the final proposals based on the strategic relevance of the university.

OBJECTIVES:

  1. Ensure knowledge on the capabilities of the technical support of university administration, teaching and research to meet the needs of the university system.
  2. Provide the Ministry with sufficient information for student management and for the implementation of an employability plan. Ensure full information on the possibilities of the Erasmus programme. Contribute to the development of international relations.
  3. Ensure knowledge of the regulations for the accreditation of official diplomas and university services in order to guarantee excellence in Higher Education.
